South Shields earnt a hard-fought three points against table-toppers Tamworth to close the gap to three points to the top of the Vanarama National League North table.
Despite Tamworth having the better of the first half, Shields came closest to opening the scoring in the first half when Paul Blackett struck the woodwork.
