FC United game postponed

Saturday’s Pitching In Northern Premier League match between South Shields and FC United of Manchester has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Heavy overnight frost left the pitch at 1st Cloud Arena in a solid state, and the club arranged an inspection for the earliest possible time of 9am.

South Shields vs FC United: Information for supporters

FC United of Manchester are the visitors to 1st Cloud Arena on Saturday for a meeting between the sides with the highest average attendances in the Pitching In Northern Premier League.

A bumper attendance is expected for the 3pm kick-off and we can confirm that FC United fans will be encouraged to enter the ground through turnstiles 3 and 4.

No official segregation line will be in place, meaning visiting supporters will be able to use any of the ground’s facilities, with security to be present in all bars and a line of security to monitor supporter behaviour during the game.

Match against Matlock postponed

Tuesday’s Pitching In Northern Premier League match between Matlock Town and South Shields has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

An inspection had been scheduled for 12pm at the Proctor Cars Stadium, but dispensation was granted for it to be held earlier in light of the freezing conditions in Derbyshire, and the strong likelihood they would not change.

A rearranged date for the match will be confirmed in due course.
