Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Nantwich Town moved the Mariners eight points clear at the top of the Pitching In Northern Premier League with three games to play.

South Shields claimed a vital three points in the Pitching In Northern Premier League title race with a 3-2 win over Nantwich Town at 1st Cloud Arena.
The Mariners produced an excellent display to take the points, with Robert Briggs’ header added to by second half goals from Dylan Mottley-Henry and Lewis Alessandra.
