Two of Vanarama National League North’s top five go head-to-head on Saturday as South Shields travel to Brackley Town (3pm kick-off).
Both teams go into the match looking to recover from a midweek defeat, with Brackley having been beaten by Rushall Olympic while Shields were edged out at Chorley on Tuesday.
South Shields were left to rue missed chances as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Chorley in Vanarama National League North.
The Mariners produced one of their most fluid performances of the campaign, but Chorley proved to be the more clinical of the two sides at Victory Park.

South Shields continued their unbeaten run at home by defeating King’s Lynn Town 2-0 to keep the pressure on at the top of the Vanarama National League North table.
King’s Lynn started the game the better of the two sides, with Ben Stephens missing a good early chance before Josh Barrett’s penalty was saved by Myles Boney.
