Conor Newton has returned to the South Shields squad for the final four games of the season.
Newton made a tremendous impact in the first four months of the season before stepping away due to personal reasons.

The club has confirmed this morning that a banning order has been issued to an individual following an incident after the game with Radcliffe on March 25th.
An investigation was held after numerous reports were made to the club in the days following the game, with several eye-witness accounts corroborating evidence submitted by the 1st Cloud Arena security team.

Striker Harry Gardiner has joined South Shields on loan from Sunderland until the end of the season, subject to league and FA clearance.
The 19-year-old is a former SSFC Academy player, having been part of the young Mariners’ squad between the summer of 2020 and February 2021.
When training with South Shields FC, you’ll be instructed by an experienced team of staff who have played for and coached at a variety of English Premier League clubs. Their knowledge and experience will be vital in each participant’s overall development both as a soccer player and on a personal level.
Training will largely consist of on-pitch sessions with a focus on decision-making skills and tactical understanding alongside individual, position-specific skills. As well as a thorough on-field coaching programme, you’ll also have access to professionally-led strength and conditioning sessions to supplement your training.
