South Shields’ men’s first-team squad numbers have been confirmed for the 2023-24 season.

Following the club’s promotion to Vanarama National League North, the players will have their names printed on the back of their match shirts this season, alongside their individual squad number.

The start of the Vanarama National League North season is now rapidly approaching, with the Mariners to kick things off against Alfreton Town at 1st Cloud Arena this Saturday.

The 2023-24 campaign will see Shields compete in the sixth tier for the first time since the club was reformed in 1974.

After seven tremendous years of service, Jon Shaw has departed his role at South Shields FC.

Shaw joined the Mariners as a player in the summer of 2016 and went on to play an integral role in the club’s growth.
