Tickets are now on sale for the Mariners’ first home pre-season friendly, against Barrow on Saturday, July 16th (kick-off 2pm).
It promises to be an excellent early test of Kevin Phillips’ new-look side’s credentials as they come up against a Barrow team looking ahead to their third season in League Two.
“Dylan Mottley-Henry is our fifth signing of the summer after the speedy attacker made the switch from Bradford Park Avenue.
Mottley-Henry was a regular for the Yorkshire-based club in National League North last season, catching the eye on the right flank and contributing a high number of assists.”
“We are delighted to announce that Gary Liddle will become a South Shields player on July 1st.
The experienced defender played almost 40 times in all competitions for League Two side Hartlepool United last season, but opted not to extend his contract with the County Durham-based club.”
“South Shields had a season to remember as they finished the NERWFL Premier Division in fifth place, ending the campaign in great form.
The Mariners completed the season with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Wallsend Boys Club, after previously dispatching Sheffield Wednesday Ladies 11-0.”
