Competitive football, live music and quality food – what more could you want?!
All will be on offer for fans when South Shields take on Stafford Rangers on Saturday, August 25 at Mariners Park.
The club is hoping for a party atmosphere at what will be the second home game of the season, which falls on a Bank Holiday weekend.
A summer barbecue is to begin after the match outside the marquee, with a menu including beef burgers, tandoori chicken, sea-salted roast potato, jumbo sausage, boiled seasoned baby skins, coleslaw, tomato salad, cucumber salad and rice salad.
There will also be live music in the marquee, with popular singer-songwriter JPAGE to perform for fans.
Younger supporters will also be kept entertained with activities, with a bouncy castle to be put in place outside the marquee.
The entertainment will be free to enjoy for match-goers and members of the community who enter the ground after the game, which kicks off at 3pm. There will, however, be a separate charge for the food.
A happy hour will also be in operation for a set period before and after the match, with the timings to be confirmed.
Please make plans to stay with us throughout the day at Mariners Park as we aim to truly kick-off the season with a bang.
We are hoping the day as a whole will have a similar atmosphere to that which we enjoyed on the final day of last season, when a party was held in the marquee to celebrate the team’s achievements.
In addition, please keep an eye out for a series of future events at the ground, with the details to be released in the near future.
