South Shields earned their second consecutive win thanks to a last-gasp penalty miss by King’s Lynn Town’s Jonny Margetts that led to an eventually deserved victory on an emotional Remembrance Weekend.

A poignant and moving ceremony on the halfway line set the tone for a memorable day and after last weekend’s comprehensive 3-0 triumph over Warrington Town, King’s Lynn came to the 1st Cloud Arena and, despite two straight defeats, sat third in the table and entered the game as favourites on paper.
