South Shields produced a hugely impressive performance to progress in the FA Youth Cup as they defeated Gateshead 7-1.

Tuesday’s Pitching In Northern Premier League match between Marske United and South Shields has been postponed.
Several of the floodlights at Mount Pleasant were unoperational after an act of vandalism.
Details of the rearranged date and how any supporters who entered the ground before the game was postponed can claim a refund will be released in due course.
South Shields take on Gateshead in the second qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup at 1st Cloud Arena on Wednesday.
The match is a 7pm kick-off, with the young Mariners looking to progress further in the competition having beaten Whitley Bay and Billingham Town to reach this stage.
